At 2 am my doorbell rings and it's the ATF and FBI. Going door to door interviewing residents. Said they would be back today to view security cam footage etc. We are not to try to leave as we would be turned back unless we have a police escort. Only one way in to our street. Oh well I didn't have anything planned anyway. Lived on this street for 20 years and so far its a very quiet area even though there are a few noisy liberals in the mix. Looking outside now at a group of FBI guys in the street.
Have a good day.
Since you're being held prisoner in your own home, get one of the agents to go shopping for you. I would send him/her out for a six pack, a pack of smokes, and some ammo.
And just to make it special, make sure it is an ATF agent...
That was the idea :tiphat: I don't smoke but it would be worth buying a pack just to give them the list.

Hard to believe this is happening in Texas. Chicago, yes. Detroit, yes. Baltimore, yes. Not Austin.

Hope the people who are doing this are caught soon. Or at least have a premature detonation that takes them out.
i can believe it... Austin has been infested with liberals from California. It's not even part of Texas anymore if you ask me...
While that is true, it's way too early to blame the liberals on this. It maybe somebody from the bomb squad for all we know...
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I am on crutches due to a knee surgery but I managed to crutch my way over to the scene. Probably 25-30 white coverall guys putting out flags all over the place. Now they tell us it may be tonight before the crime scene work is over. Since I am stuck here with no way out, I think I will sort out some ammo and try the new Frankford Arsenal tumbler I just bought.

Austin has a track record of liberals planting bombs in neighborhoods? I'd like to read those articles...got any links?

Lots of people do stupid crap...liberals, conservatives, libertarians.
Assigning blame to liberals just because is the same thing they do to those of us who own firearms every time there is a shooting.

Not trying to argue, just trying to point out that making accusations against a group of people in the same way as the opposition doesn't help.

Jason812 It just dawned on me what you were referring to. ATF. Getting a 6-pack, smokes and ammo. That is funny. Sorry I didn't catch that but I haven't slept and my mind is really tired. Again forgive my error in not catching the joke. It is funny.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The latest of four bombings in the Austin area in the past 16 days has a "higher level of sophistication" than the previous three, according to an update from Austin Interim Police Chief Brian Manley.

"We are clearly dealing with what we expect to be a serial bomber at this point," Manley said.

Hours after the bombing Manley said it is "very possible" the device in Sunday night's explosion was triggered by a tripwire. In a press conference around 10 a.m., he said the device that exploded has similarities to the other explosive devices, based on preliminary results, even though it does use a more complex tripwire system. He noted in an earlier press conference that the bombs have different kinds of projectiles within them.

Two men, who are 22 and 23 years old respectively, were either riding or pushing their bicycles, when the latest bomb next to a fence exploded in the "Travis Country East" subdivision in southwest Austin around 8:32 p.m. Both men are in good condition at the hospital, according to a spokesperson for St. David's South Austin Medical Center, but do have significant injuries. The Austin Police Department confirmed both men injured in the latest bombing are white, while the other victims were black or Hispanic.

That thought came to me also when I heard the triggering method was different on the latest one.....or could be adaptation, or misdirection.....

Well the media circus has begun. They cleared the crime scene about 9:00 and now there are more cameras, news vans, reporters etc. there than you can shake a stick at. Up until now, they could not access our street or Dawn Song Dr.so all they could do was call us. Oh well, I am tired so I am headed to bed.
