The question I have is why is he selling all this stuff? Is he having money issues? Maybe the IRS?

Maybe he can only have so much stuff. When you have an almost unlimited money supply, acquiring stuff, is easy. Making room for it all, not so much. More like a rich man's garage sale. Some of these will sell for high prices, just because of who owned them. I've never been a collector of things owned by famous people. And unless fame suddenly strikes me, my family won't be able to demand top dollar for any of my "stuff" when I'm gone.

Andy, on the other hand, has quite a bit of notoriety, and has been teasing us, with his collection for quite some time. So whomever inherits his "stuff" may make out like a bandit.

It's probably extra stuff that's been packed up since he moved here... you know, if you haven't looked at it or used it in 10+ years, may as well sell it.

Ted was on Houston’s Michael Berry’s radio show on Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 2).
They discussed the auction and he said he selling these items because he just went to get rid of “excess” stuff. He did mention he was keeping his favorite 100 guns.

I have to admit that if, while you are still alive and able to use them, you are selling 400 toys to make room for more or because you are bored of them, you may not win but you are definitely a strong contender.

As I'm getting older I'm looking closely at who would suit which item the best - so be nice to me

I'm tempted - Larry Grossman is famous in my circles, but who's this Nugent dude?

I used to listen to his music when I was in high school, that was in the 80's and I don't recall listening since then. I wouldn't pay a premium for something just because it was his, he's annoying to me and the few guns I looked at of his are nothing to write home about. To each his own.

I use to listen to his music in the seventies, when I was in high school. Like you, I would not buy something and pay extra for it simply because he once owned it. But then again, I have never been one to place extra value on anything because some celebrity once owned it.
