That does not look like the standard Colt "Duckbill" Grip Safety. Have you replaced with another?

Course I could be wrong....hard to tell with the angle of the pictures.

No its 100% stock, colt has gone away from the duck bill to a beavertail safety.

I bought this same Colt for my soldier-son when he was commissioned back in 2008. And yes, it is the OEM safety/grip. As a shooter, it is on par with my Kimber. If Christmas hadn't drained my gun money account, I would pick this one up for me. Beautiful Colt (and no dummy marks)...

I religously place a foam ear plug between the frame and slide stop as I am reassembling all of my 1911's.
