Change in Bill Status Report format

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

I will no longer be adding "left pending" to the status of any bills. The fact that a hearing was held will mean it was left pending if no other status is shown after the hearing date. It it too time consuming to make these changes on the 83 bills being tracked in the Bill Status Report. When the session is over, I will add "left pending" to all bills to which this will apply.

In future Bill Status Updates, I will no longer be listing bills that had minor changes like referrals to committees and insignificant meeting dates some committees post for voting dates after committee hearings. The only exceptions will be related to significant events such as referring a bill to an unusual committee to kill it.

Chas.

Procedural change noted. Left pending is a little confusing for a noob like me, anyway. Keeping the updates to significant movement would be easier on all involved. Thank you for all of your effort Charles (here, TFC, TSRA, Legislature, and PSC).
