I know we have an option to email our representatives from their websites. Does using the email facility on the representative's site carry the same weight as a phone call, letter or fax?

This is the first attempt at a bill that is controversial, so I'm not surprised.
True that, but it's third or fourth go around for campus carry. :totap:

If the Republican majority can't finally push through that table scrap this year, they don't deserve my vote. To be crystal clear, I'm saying if I can't legally carry at night class in 2014, I'll write in Santa Claus before I vote for anybody who chooses to affiliate themselves with the party that kills campus carry in back room meetings.

I hope every NRA member in Texas takes the committee's actions tomorrow very personally, however they vote.

@jmra -- From 1836 to 1995 ... Fantastic, it only took 159 years to gain our Concealed Handgun License rights using the incremental approach. /sarcasm off

I know politicians don't stick their neck out for anybody, and things being the way they are, our gun rights here have probably peaked. I'm not ungrateful, quite the opposite. But with twenty years of data with us, when all the grabbers told us the streets will flow with blood because of all the road rage shootings, (that didn't happen) it should be a no brainer that 3218 would pass overwhelmingly. I've called, emailed, written all my reps, they all say they support CHL's and the 2A, I'm sure you guys have too, time to face reality, we're stuck.

several of you seem to be blaming the Republicans as a party....I'm sorry, but I'm blaming one man, and one man only, Strauss. He's why most of these bills aren't coming up for a vote.

And it was a Democrat majority legislature that passed the law allowing CHL? :confused5

I just started watching.

465, 508, and 698 passed from what I watched so far.

Are you meaning HB485? I don't think I have read up on 465?
