Brand new member & CHL holder - help me pick a holster

And a really good belt. I knew I was going to need to step up on that. Any specific recommendations there, beyond what A-R added already?

Walmart has some good "Work Belts" 9-15$ I have 3 Black, Dark Brown and lighter brown. I wear an IWB Kholster (45$) in the 3:00 - 4:00 position, depending of the paints I wear. I am 6' 1" 250#, Kholster keeps the flab off the gun.

Hey all

Thought I'd report back and say that I settled on a Bianchi holster. I was at McBride's here in Austin, stocking up on powder and primers, so I grabbed one there.

I was able to try the holster with the Beretta PX4 Storm there in the store - which was kind of them to do. It's a 30+ mile trip to that gun store, so I appreciated the customer service.

And, I have successfully taken a few concealed carry trips now, although not with this particular holster as yet. I'll detail those trips on the board elsewhere.

Just wanted to say thank you for the recommendations.

Wow...I've never had quality service from above establishment... I stopped shopping there almost 10 years ago after telling one of the "gun guys" this is what I'm looking for( pointing at a sig 226) and he tells me I need to go with this over here(pulls out a 50ae desert eagle with 10 inch barrel). I'm happy for you... Maybe I should give them another shot.

I am surprised to hear anyone has had a bad experience at McBride's. They came highly recommended from a bunch of folks I know, and each time I have visited the store, the employee who helped me spent a ton of time with me and did so enthusiastically. Perhaps our expectations are different, but I'd say they are worth a shot. Pun definitely intended.

I had been in the establishment several times growing up... My father bought his reloading supplies from them for years while I was younger with me in tow on a short leash. I turned 18 (1998)and went in there for a shotgun(simple reliable 870 12ga) and the "salesman" tried to point me to a multitude of other shotguns that in my opinion were overpriced and not practical for my purposes (future hunting and home defense) think over under in $1000 price range back then. After remaining very insistent I was finally handed what I wanted. Filled out my paperwork and paid and out the door I went.

Several years later went to purchase a handgun (roughly 2002) and received the treatment in my above post...Now I go to GT Distributors and have always had top notch service so I decide to continue using them. Just as my father was on a first name basis at McBrides I am on a first name basis with most of the gun counter guys at GT.

to you Zombie but as I said I may have to stop back in there and see... But with a baby on the way and a nearly nonexistent budget for firearms it may be rough in the next few years.

I like the simple designs of just a single belt clip rather than two and like Safariland 27 or the Galco Triton.
