Dressy belts

Postby txbirddog » Thu Sep 27, 2012 4:19 pm

Anyone have a favorite belt maker that can make a "dressier" belt for dress pants with good support?

Thanks

Not sure how 'dressy' you want, but I like the Cabela's Double Duty belts http://www.cabelas.com/mens-belts-suspe ... lt-5.shtml. They work fine with slacks for me.

I wear these for my slacks, reasonable price, and hold a holster very well

I went with a Beltman, 1 1/4", Horse hide, Saddle Tan with round chrome buckle.

:iagree: I own two and couldn't be happier with them. Mine are black bullhide.

For my "casual wear" like cargo shorts, etc I prefer the Wilderness Instructor's Belt.

Appreciate all the input and the Blackhawk has possibilities. Many days I wear a full suit so i am kind of looking for a "real" dressy belt. Maybe something along the lines of an ostrich with some metal ends and holders.

We have several widths from AG gun leather, in my opinion a very nice belt for the money. They have some pricier options in rarer leather, but my cow hides work well - even my 1" for my ladies dress slacks do a nice job of supporting my 9mm in my IWB holster.

Several years ago I bought a brown "lizard" belt from The Beltman that looks nice with a suit or similar attire. It's no longer listed on his website but it might be worth sending him an email if you're interested in something similar.

El Paso Saddlery make some nice belts and can outfit them with some nice, shiny stuff...

How much do you want to spend?

Galco makes some very nice belts-

Wilson Combat has both Shark and Elephant-

If money and time to deliver are not problems, Mitch Rosen makes really nice belts-

What a lot of the others have already said, "The Beltman."

I have also been happy with this guy just make sure it is a "gun belt" you are ordering. Very quick shipping.
