This is the aspect about Open Carry I've never been able to comprehend. I don't know of a single trainer that would ever recommend an exposed firearm without a retention mechanism, unless you're in a military unit (and, oh boy, do they have a whole stack of rules about that

). I'm not insulting your desires here -- I can fully understand why one would want to show something like this off, it's definitely beautiful, but it seems to me that walking around in public with a gun in it is like walking around with $1000 hanging out of your back pocket.
