House Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee:
Rep. Joseph Pickett - Chairman (512) 463-0596
Rep. Allen Fletcher - Vice-chairman (512) 463-0661
Rep. Philip Cortez (512) 463-0269
Rep. Tony Dale (512) 463-0696
Rep. Dan Flynn (512) 463-0880
Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt (512) 463-0682
Rep. George Lavender (512) 463-0692
Rep. Kenneth Sheets (512) 463-0244
Rep. Ron Simmons (512) 463-0478

House Select Committee on Federalism & Fiscal Responsibility
Rep. Brandon Creighton - Chairman (512) 463-0726
Rep. Cindy Burkett (512) 463-0464
Rep. Eddie Lucio III (512) 463-0606
Rep. Scott Turner (512) 463-0484
Rep. Armando Walle (512) 463-0924

There are multiple campus-carry bills filed with some providing wider coverage than others. Please do not express a preference for one over another and please do not express opposition to any specific campus-carry bill. We need as many as possible to clear the committee process, then we can concentrate on one or two. Obviously, the parking lot and decriminalizing bills are backups and will be unnecessary if comprehensive campus-carry passes, but we need them to clear the committee so they can be picked up if necessary. It's also obvious that Vice-Chairman Flether's HB972 is in a better position than the other comprehensive bills.

Does anyone have a list of email addresses for the committee members?

They usually follow the firstname.lastname@house.state.tx.us standard

If someone puts together a email listing, I'll gladly spam it out to them, but I don't have the time or ability to make calls while I'm at work all day.

Anyone have a quick boiler plate message I could kick off with an email during work and then call this evening?

I said Reiterate, because I have already emailed him, multiple times, about these bills, so it's more a poke & prod reminder than my original opinion. :anamatedbanana

Reply from Cortez' office (San Antonio)
They suggested I contact "Jennifer" with further comments, but did not provide any contact info.
Good afternoon. Thank you for contacting Rep Cortez to express your support of bills advocating for gun rights. Rep Cortez is currently gathering feedback from his District 117 and Bexar County community to see how support and opposition falls. He has read all the data and research and has our Policy Analyst, Jennifer Stringham researching more information.

Thanks again for contacting our office and feel free to contact us in the future or you may contact Jennifer directly.
