What does this mean re: the Texas constitution? I did a search & it turned up a few sections.

The Texas Constitution requires the bill to be heard on 3 several days. They can suspend this rule, however.

that was exactly what I understood him to say. He doesn't agree with open carry, but he understood that it was going to pass, because of that he was going to do what he could to "protect" he constituency and he felt that the amendment would do that.

I doubt it, section (b) doesn't seem to be fulfilled.

I would agree it is not, but its all I could find with relevance in Article 3.

That's what the confusion is right now. We don't know because we can't find the amendment just passed(or has not been published at this point in time), and compare the language to both amendments.

Huffines kept saying that the "exact" amendment had passed in the house. So it would make no sense that it's not the same.
