Is this normal or are there lawmakers/interns that sit around on standby that can crank out crap amendments that the Reps fully know won't be adopted just for the mere purpose of stalling?
It's normal when you want to filibuster.

Does Texas election law allow recalls?

I seem to remember that a bunch of average Joe's, with no political experience, and no money, were able to recall two state legislators in Colorado, and force a third to resign in lieu of being recalled.

No excuse is acceptable for the failure of SB11, and those responsible need to be held accountable...

Rep. Jessica Farrar (District 148, 4% of Harris County) is on again - Been taking up lots of time tonight with questions from the back mic. How many bills has she authored and passed?

She's been in the House a long time. Knows how to play the game. Seems like there should be a point of order. I think they've been talking more than 10 minutes.

A quick search would seem to indicate that Texas state level elected officials can NOT be recalled.

Apparently, they are relatively immune for their actions. And I guess they are fully aware of this, and know where they have us.

It looks like the primaries and general election are the voter's only recourse...

And the recourse needs to be in full swing the next election...
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.
