Suspect found dead in nearby Bellaire Park.Officers were called to the 900 block of Deely Place just before 3 a.m., for the shooting. A homeowner had heard the suspect breaking into his vehicle, so he pulled out his gun, police said.
The suspect did the same, and the two exchanged gunfire. The suspect was hit in the torso and fled the location.
It is unclear if the homeowner will face criminal charges.
