Man getting into truck at strip mall at noon confronted by two "teen" robbers, at least one with a gun. Man takes gun and shoots both robbers, killing one. Other one flees but is picked up later and taken to hospital for his wounds.

It appears the same location was the site of a capital murder during a robbery in May 2020. Police looking for two suspects who left in an SUV. Stories say "retail complex" in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route, same description as the incident in the OP.

ETA: The second incident is believed to be a "jugging" attack where the perps (now believed to be 3) followed the victim from a check-cashing business.
