Golden Compass Sport power chair

#1

Post by mayor »

Free to someone that NEEDS it, not so you can resale it. It's a small chair, so it probably won't fit a big person. The seat measures approximately 16" deep, 17" wide, the back is about 18" tall not including the headrest. It charges and runs. Low mileage. Mom hardly used it, diminishing strength wouldn't allow her to transfer. This thing is heavy and you'll have to make arrangements to pick it up. I live north of Fort Worth. Send a PM and I'll provide my cell phone #. Please don't take advantage of my generosity. Be patient, I will respond, I don't monitor this site all day and I don't get notifications when I have a PM. Thanks and I hope this can be a help to someone. New, these sell for north of $3000. You can find them on craigslist for $500.

I appreciate you Mayor.

I am a home healthcare physical therapist and have wished before that people with power chairs who no longer need them would give them to people who do. Medicare has made it hard to get power chairs. There are some very poor people out there who cannot push a wheelchair.

Thank you for your generosity.

If no one on the forum needs it, you may consider donating it to your local nursing home, assisted living, or VA. Most have transport vehicles with wheel chair lifts that will pick it up. Very generous offer. I did the same with my grandmother’s power chair.

I have a friend who lives in Watauga who is in severely declining health and can barely stand any longer, let alone walk. When I saw him at church this morning, I was shocked at how much he had declined since I last saw him before the COVID-19 shutdowns, and he is younger than me.

I’m going to phone him right now and see if this would be a help to him. I’ll post back in a few minutes.

I just spoke to my friend's wife and they are interested. I’m going to PM you their contact information. These friends don’t have any money to spare, so this would be a real Godsend for them if it fits him.

Ok, PM sent with details. Hope this works out, and God bless you for offering this to somebody.

A very deserving person received this chair. A small thing to make someone's quality of life a bit better. All in God's timing.
