Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

A 39 year old cadet, former military, who started the HPD academy in August and would have graduated on Feb 26th, gets canned for stealing from the coffee kitty.

I don't know what else to say about it.

I am grateful to the Academy for upholding a standard for honor and behavior.

When police actually enforce strong rules they make themselves more worthy of public trust. It is very, very, very sad that we have newspapers full of cops being let off for things that citizens don't get away with.

If Congress censured it's members for petty crimes half of them wouldn't be able to do business 90% of the time.
What is Project One Million: Texas?
The "Project" is a grassroots effort to increase the number of Texans who are members of the National Rifle Association from 250.000 to 1,000,000.

I cannot comprehend the guy stealing from the coffee fund can. He's got to have a bigger problem there than just being a petty thief. Good on the HPD, otherwise you get departments, like, well, the D.C. Metropolitan P.D.:
Published reports show that a total of 256 officers identified for firing between 1991 and 1994 were reinstated simply because police management took too long to get through the process of firing them...While Chief Thomas was paying full salary to sworn officers he dared not place on the street but could not fire due to mismanagement, his warrant squad could not work warrants because they could not afford paper to print out warrant lists.
And
In the early 1990s, 201 officers were arrested on charges running from shoplifting to rape and murder. One out of every 14 graduates in the academy classes of 1989 and 1990 would subsequently be arrested. The problems became so dire that the District had a list of 185 MPD Officers so tainted by corruption that prosecutors would not put these officers on the stand. One proud new cadet received news of his acceptance to the MPD Academy while in jail in Prince George’s County while awaiting trial on drug distribution charges.
