Chicago PD

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Chicago PD

#1

Post by austin »

I was at Midway Airport in Chicago Friday and saw an unusual amount of Chicago PD presence. They were every 100 yards at key locations wearing body armor over their uniforms, actively scanning the crowd.

I noticed that they were carrying all sorts of sidearms - glocks, 1911s, etc and one guy had a 44 magnum revolver.

I chatted with the 44 officer a bit and asked him about the sidearm differences. He said he liked the 44 and carried it when he could. He then asked where I was going. Was I in the military.

I said, No, heading back to Texas.

He then asked if I had a CHL.

I said, Sure.

He asked to see the license as he had not seen one. Showed it to him.

He said that's cool. Will never happen in Chicago, though.

My sister-n-law is from Chicago. My Brother went home with her once and will not go back. He says IL is "God's blindspot".

have a fund raiser to help.
You dont see that happening anywhere around Chicago.

I left the Land of Daley back in 1982 and have no regrets. Last time I was back home I went with a friend to some gun shops. One had a Steyr rifle I wanted to check out. The jerk hehind the counter asked for my FOID card to which I told him I didn't even live in Illinios. Nope cannot let you touch anything in the shop and really by law you shouldn't even be in here.

what the heck? My whole family lives up there. And once my father passes away I'll never step another foot in the state!

To which the next sound they here is the little bell sound at the door...

I could make a ton of fun at Chicago and Illinois in general, but its not worth it...And I know some folks pretty well that are doing their darndest to fix that screwed up state and city for that matter...
