Pawn shop and the 30.06 sign

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Pawn shop and the 30.06 sign

I had to laugh yesterday. I go to a pawn shop to recover a stolen item on a case I am working. This particular shop had a 30.06 sign. Let me get this straight: they don't allow law abiding chl holders to carry a gun but they allow criminals to enter with stolen property that they buy? "rlol"

Don't want those criminals getting nervous with having law abiding people around.

They only want to sell the pawned handguns to people who can't pass the CHL background check.

I'd have to pass on that store.
I've all but given up on pawn shops. Used to find good deals. Now everything is either really overpriced or junk.

:iagree: I too have found this to be the case in almost every visit. Not worth going anymore...

I went into one once out of curiosity.

Their inventory looked like something found in flea markets.

And some of them are willing to offend and turn away business with a 30.06 sign?

Okaaaaaay, but that sounds like a terrible business idea...

i buy a lot of tools at pawn shops. they mark them up high. I offer what I offer then head to the door. if they want to sell it they will deal.
I got a great deal on my nickle plate mdl 36 awhile back while tool shoping.

A friend of mine bought a rifle from Cash America in Ft. Worth last week. They would not let him pick it up he had to have it shipped to another FFL. They told him this after he had bought the rifle. So he buys the rifle from Cash America in Ft. Worth and has it shipped to a FFL down the street in Ft. Worth. :banghead:
