Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

#1

Post by seamusTX »

Friendswood, August 25 -- Police credentials from the Texas City Police Department and Galveston County Sheriff’s Department and a Glock 23 were stolen from a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Sunset in Friendswood (pretty close to PSC). Note mention of a wallet on the seat and a purse on the floor.

What is the fascination folks have these days with leaving this stuff in the car?
It is not clear from reports how the person gained the credentials and handgun.
I'm not really impressed with FPD's deductive skills.

I'm just speculating here, but that is probably officialese for the officer not remembering whether or not she locked the vehicle.
