Yes Keith you are correct. His are a little small...not much. 23x35 if I remember correctly. Same size area in the ring area but you lose a lot of length and therefore a lot of 3 point area. I wanted to see how he was printing them since I was once in the printing business. If you wanted to print them yourself your best bet would be a 24" laser plotter, but an offset press or web press is the only thing that makes sense to get the price down.

At 84 cents each on the cardboard and with the repair centers available, it is fairly reasonable. I didn't ask about the price of paper targets at Lighthouse for the Blind, but I suspect they are reasonable too and they do offer them.

The local indoor range here in Weatherford charges the general public $2.50 each for a paper target.

I have seen targets marked B27e (foe "economy") that appear to be the right width, but are shorter than normal. And I know of one range that uses them for CHL. I presume that DPS would not find them acceptable.

Does anyone else think the B-27 is a step backwards from the TXPT target?

I guess they didn't like us making head shots or something. :grumble

I buy my targets from Law Enforcement Targets (http://www.letargets.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
The cardboard B-27 targets are $1.08 ea (25 or more).
I'm not sure how much shipping is.

Amazon has paper B-27 targets for $45.19 for 100. Shipping is free if you are a Prime member. I believe these are regulation size.

Targets online sells a B27 that is printed on heavy cardstock. They are wind and water resistant. The targets are 22 cents apiece and are the B27E size. I use them as a repair for the full size cardboard targets.

I picked up 50 of the cardboard targets at Lighthouse for the Blind yesterday. 912 W. Broadway Fort Worth, TX. I did not get the repair centers since I let the students take their targets.

Total with tax was $45.47. Extremely friendly people.

They asked me to put the word out that they would love more business from the CHL instructors. They are open Monday - Thursday. Closed Friday.

The Lighthouse website shows that the minimum order for the cardboard targets is 500. That would last me quite awhile!

I just picked up 50. The only mention of quantity was that I could not break a bundle of 25.

Glad to see you can buy less. I wonder why the site says minimum 500?

Lighthouse for the Blind

Just ordered 2 bundles of 50 green cardboard targets. In stock and ships tomorrow.

$62.50 each bundle shipped anywhere in Texas. They called it the Instructor Special. If you're in the DFW area you can pick them up and save the shipping.

Saved me $40 dollars if I would have ordered from LE Targets again.

I questioned the image they have on their website since it is a little different than the official B-27 (hands are not solid). The gentleman assured they are the same target they ship to the DPS (just shipped 3000 more) so I was glad to do business with them.

I assume the 500 min qty. is a typo. For shipping he said they are bundled in qty. of 50.

Those are not acceptable targets for CHL qualification.
(a) All courses of fire will be scored on a standard B-27 target. The B-27 target must be 24 inches by 45 inches and may be one of four colors; black, blue, red, or green.
(b) The target shall be scored utilizing the 5, 4, 3 scoring diagram in the upper left hand corner.

Great folks to do business with. Great targets. Hold up well in wind and especially in rain! I have the convenience of picking them up and saving shipping, but I still highly recommend these.
