Bit of a trip, but there's Red River Firearms in Sherman, and Armadillo Guns in Nevada.

I have a question, have you been the Armadillo Guns in Nevada before? I saw their website and I think they might a outdoor shooting range.

I just wandering how often their cease fire works so I can change the target?

Thanks

Outdoors, yes (covered). But they have a target retrieval system so no cease-fires are necessary. (You move the target holders by pulling on a chain.)

The target holders are a bit small for a full-size B-27 target, but if you use the cardboard version (or cardboard-backed) they will fit. They just sit a little high. Don't let them talk you into the reduced-size targets.

Thank you for your info, I checked the range fee with Armadillo Guns, it's $20 for visitor, might a little expensive for me.

Have you tried Winchester Gallery in fort worth and Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville? I heard about they could let outside instructor in.

Did you check the fee for an instructor to qualify a CHL student? $20 sounds like the fee if you want to shoot without being a member.
I am not a member, and haven't taken a class there to qualify in a while, but they were charging me $11/student for me to qualify them.

Edit: Fort Worth is too far away. I might be interested in any info regarding Lewisville.

Edit: Also make sure they know you only want to qualify there, you're not using their classroom (unless you want to teach the class there, too).

I guess I just don't understand why it seems to be so hard to find a range that is willing to take, say $10 - $12 dollars per person for about 30 minutes of shooting. If anyone has any range contacts for qualifying a private class in the Weatherford area, please let me know.

...and gains a customer that returns to shoot again and again. The reason is that they are greedy sons of pistols, and want the class fees, too.
