Does anyone remember the name of the lady that taught the first class in Austin? A few of us that took that class were wondering if she still teaches, etc. thanks.

Do you mean the instructor's class? That would be Starlane Riddle. And she has retired from DPS.

She didnt get mad when I Caled her HIGH POCKETS

She was one of the best they all were great

And I am comparing her to FBI, BNDD and Louisiana State Police Instructors that I had been instructed by

No. Not her. This lady testified to Texas Legislature as a proponent to CCW. She held the very first class in Austin. Her range guy was an older gentleman who was a retired DPS officer. Shooting took place at range on 290 East. Just wondering, no big deal. Thanks.

You're not talking about Suzanna Gratia Hupp are you? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanna_Hupp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't think she was ever an instructor, but may be wrong.

OK, Diane was a CHL instructor, not a DPS instructor.

That was the path this took when you asked about 'the lady that taught the first class in Austin' and you never corrected the thread.

Yes, Star was the DPS Instructor that taught the CHL Instructor classes. The OP was talking about a regular CHL instructor in Austin, not a DPS employee teaching the Instructor classes.
