Just picked up 300 new CHL-16 booklets. I got 300 to save. some cost. That's likely a 2 year supply for me. If anyone in the Weatherford area would like some, I'll let you have some for my cost. $2.50 ea. PM if interested. Will likely part with 100 or so. I can always get more printed.

Re: NEW CHL-16
When a person applies for a new license, can't they download this booklet themselves?
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

Re: NEW CHL-16
They can, but I consider it a catch 22 situation. One of the "affirmations" you make on-line when you apply is that you have read an understood selected laws listed in the CHL-16 booklet (chl-86). There is no way, at least that I can think of, that a student can stop the application process, go find the CHL-16, download it, and then read it, so that what they are then "attesting" to an accurate statement.
I always furnish them the book in the class. Some of those who "apply" before they come to class are often surprised when I tell them that they have already attested to knowing the laws.
It is just like the "terms and conditions" that I am sure everyone reads before they agree!

Re: NEW CHL-16
One doesn't have to be a LTC applicant to get a copy of the regulations.
Anyone with a computer can download the CHL-16 booklet from the DPS website.
I like having a hard copy. It is much easier for me to read than on a computer screen.
My instructor provided a hard copy for all of his students, which I appreciated.
Kg5ie is just offering printed copies at a "discounted" price to his fellow instructors.
