What about electronic prints printed out onto the FBI cards? I know for NFA registrations you need to send the cards, but some agencies with electronic readers can print them out (or so I've heard). My Town PD does ink & roll prints for free for residents and a nominal charge for non-res.

Constable and Sheriff wouldn't do it. I used HPD's ident section, which is in the basement of the newish permit building. It was pretty easy.
