After some debate, went ahead and put my paperwork. Check was cashed on Feb 10th. Doesn't look like I'll be in the March class if you already received an invite.

I had to decline the Jan & March classes due to work commitments. Hoping there's one in April when my calendar is open.

Is there upcoming schedule posted anywhere? Also, is there any minimal number of the courses one must teach in order to keep/renewal the instructor's certificate?

No future class schedules as they are shoe-horning the SSC class in between DPS recruit training and LTC instructor training. Their schedule is pretty tight from what we were told at the first class.

There was no mention of a minimum number of SSC that must be taught so I don't figure there is one.

To be able to take the SSC instructor course you have to have taught 4 LTC classes in the last year.

Next class must be full up. Got an email from RSD today saying that I was good to go, but that I was on the wait-list to be filled in the order that applications were verified. Subject to class availability of course. My check was cashed Feb 10th, form sent in...couple of weeks prior, for those interested in timeline.

Due to email mix-up, I was told I was first on list if anyone could not make it and would be in next class when scheduled. Patience is a virtue, so they tell me.

You guys get an email from RSD this morning?

I thought it was just a resend of my 'received, processed and verified' email I got back in the spring, but does include some good info at the bottom. They have more classes tentatively set for 2017 and we'll get an email 2 months before class date. I had hoped that this was that email.

I got it. It sounds like there won't be another class until Aug.
