Do old threads/posts linger forever?

#1

Post by puma guy »

This may have been asked and answered, but I was curious if old threads stay around forever or is there a process that deletes them after a while. I see some old ones resurrected from time to time, but how far back can one go?

This is the oldest one I found. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

Just read that one. Must have done the same thing you did after reading the OP.

Looks to me like they stay open and can be posted to indefinitely unless it is locked. I know Admins have the ability to edit/delete individual posts. I assume they could also delete an entire thread if there was a need.

Threads can & have been deleted when there is good cause. Handog's original thread, when he was arrested, was deleted at his request.

Hopefully everyone on the forum has read that one.
