- Here is a link to the Bushmaster page for this rifle: http://www.bushmaster.com/catalog_xm15_ ... 4FVAR9.asp
Here are the specs from that page:
The barrel twist is right-handed 1:9 with 6 lands/grooves. Empty weight without a magazine is listed at 8.4 lb.Product Description:
Designed around our DCM Competition Barrel, in a 24" Fluted, Extra Heavy Profile – machined to SAAMI specification tolerances of 4150 ChromeMoly Vanadium steel. Full length fluting reduces weight and increases barrel cooling. Barrel Is a full 1" diameter under the Forend, and has an 11° Competition Crowned Muzzle.
- Bushmaster Two Stage Competition Trigger with 3.5 lb. pull 1st stage and 1 lb. let-off (2nd stage)
- A Vented Aluminum Tubular Forend “free-floats” the Barrel from the Receiver forward for optimum accuracy – 12 cooling vents in the Forend increase barrel heat dissipation.
- A Bipod Stud has been installed on the Forend for easy mounting of most bipods or a sling swivel.
- Ambidextrous, Ergonomically Designed Pistol Grip is included with a rubberized, non-slip textured surface.
Exact round count is unknown because I never bothered keeping a record, but is for certain < 500 (more probably around 300), and I am the original owner. I am selling it because I never shoot it anymore, and I want to thin the herd a little bit. This rifle seems to prefer 68-69 grain match ammo. I haven't shot much in the way of hunting ammo through it so I can't say for sure what it will do with that kind of ammo, but with match ammo it is definitely sub MOA. If you have a prairie dog problem or want to call in some 'yotes, this is the rifle for you.
MSRP on this rifle is $1,374.00. I paid $960.00 at the "going out of business" sale at Sportsmans Warehouse in Lewisville, in 2007.
- Magpul PRS butt-stock: Webpage; current MSRP is $255.00, but I paid $245.00 for mine at the time. This is a great stock for a rifle being used in the target/SASS/Varmint role. I will include the original A2 stock that came on the rifle.
- Extended "Tactical" charging handle latch. I think it was from Badger Ordnance, but I don't remember for certain. In any case, the cost was negligible. I put it on so that the charging handle would be more easily accessible with a scope mounted.
PLEASE NOTE:- The Burris XTR 3-12x50mm Tactical scope and QD rings displayed in the pictures below are NOT part of this deal, although I am willing to discuss a separate price for it.
- The Magpul PMAG displayed in the pictures below is NOT part of this deal (goes with my carbine). The original Bushmaster 10 round mag sold with the gun fell apart eventually and I no longer have it. I will throw in the original A2 style stock that came on the rifle.
- The displayed bipod is NOT included.
