WTS Nice S&W Mod 64-5 4" Stainless Revolver

Post by TexasGal »

WTS. A nice stainless steel Smith & Wesson 6 shot revolver with 4" bbl in .38spl in very good condition. It shoots nice and has the original hammer spur in place (not bobbed). It has that smooth trigger smiths are known for. Shooting it in DA is manageable for women and elderly with some arthritis like I have. This is the square butt model. With my short fingers, the trigger reach is not quite ideal for me so I have switched over to using a round butt model. That is the only reason this gun was chosen to sell for my cash needs. It does not have MIM parts. It was purchased used through an FFL.

It comes with a S&W box and paperwork of about the right time but it is likely not the original box to this gun. The Serial number begins in BNW. According to my research, this gun was mfg in March of 1993. It has no internal lock. It will shoot +P ammo. Does not seem to be a former LEO gun. At least I do not see any markings to indicate that. Grip is a S&W medallion wood grip.

Will sell FTF to another current resident Texas CHL holder or LEO. Will sell through an FFL otherwise. Asking $425 plus any FFL charges if incurred.

Happy to send pics by text or email. Just PM me.

Hate to promote another website, but if you list that gun with photos at that price at smith-wessonforum.com it will sell in minutes.

Will consider that, thanks!
I figured they had a similar rule to a minimum number of posts before selling an item like we do.

You should feel fortunate. If I lived in DFW, I would have bought it last week.
