Cheapest FFL in Dallas?

#1

Post by aggiedave05 »

I'll be honest, I don't expect much from an FFL. However, my previous FFL quit doing transfers and the one I found is $20 a transfer. Not a bad price but 4x what I used to pay. Especially with a CHL now.

Anyone have a recommendation or know a cheaper one?

Honestly, $10-$20 is what I have seen lately with most FFL's, it seems like the $10-$15 range is about average.

I've used Tom Hart in Plano in the past and am using him again for one I just purchased a couple days ago. He's $10 if you have a CHL. Fast, professional, no problems. He has a thread on the FFL section.

Cash Advance in Benbrook off 377 is $10 as well. Seems to do a lot of transfer business. When I was in there before Christmas picking up a couple guns I bought on Buds the UPS guy showed up with about 25-30 packages. The owners said that was typical for that time of year. During the rest of the year he said he usually sees 10-15 packages/transfers a day.

PLus 1 for Tom. I did 2 transfers for 3 firearms. $10 for CHLers. Great transaction, prompt response.

Here's a thread with info for Tom Hart.
