Just moved here to the San Antonio area, and was looking for a good recommended FFL dealer with best price if you know of one list them here.

thanks

Academy Sports and Outdoors has the best prices for guns and ammo and they match competitors prices. They are only a retail box store though. My second choice is Nagels Gun Shop on San Pedro. Prices are higher and customer service can be hit or miss. They do a decent job though.

Eagle 21

I have worked with this person multiple times, and can't beat 25 for a transfer, plus he has actively went out of his way to try to save me money two separate times.

I've had good luck with the folks at http://www.gunshack.com if you're near the NW side of town. Wolf and Josiah will be glad to assist I'm sure.

There's a long list here (http://www.fflregistry.com/FFL-Dealers- ... o-Texas-TX" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), but it doesn't tell you anything about their reputation.

Generally, folks on this forum will do you right about finding the right kind of FFL. Alternatively, if you see one on the list above that's near you, ask about them on here. In addition, try to work with responsive FFLs. You'd be surprised how many FFLs either a) don't use/rarely check email or b) don't really respond to transfer requests because they don't want to bother with them (this is more typical of retail store FFLs).
