Tom Sotis AMOK! Edged Weapon Combat & Breaking Structure

#1

Post by HerbM »

Tom Sotis is back, and I found out that there is one seat left for this weekend.

It you are interested in techniques to SURVIVE and INITIAL attack long enough to gain TIME and SPACE to access your firearm this is a great way to develop skill.

I have been been to half a dozen events with Tom in the last few years and every one of these was a great value, but your first time is always special for everyone.

FYI: The organizer is a friend of mine but this would be my opinion no matter who was sponsoring.

--- The official posting follow ---

Combatives Training group is very excited to announce the return of Tom Sotis for another AMOK! Combatives seminar. Tom is back here presenting two-days of world-class knife and combatives instruction Saturday and Sunday November 23-24, 2013 in Austin. We keep inviting Tom back because he is one of the absolute best instructors we have had the pleasure of training with. Don't miss this opportunity to train with him!

Saturday: EDGED WEAPON COMBAT (EWC): EWC is an overview of the AMOK! Knifefighting System, an edged weapons obstacle course that raises and expands your level of experience and functionality each time you cycle through it. People retake this course time and again because they actually get more out of it each time, and all subsequent courses are focused explorations within it.

Sun: COMBATIVE ANATOMY/BREAKING STRUCTURE/TAKEDOWNS: Presenting the complexities of takedowns in a clear and concise manner, Tom will present his method of taking down attackers.

Whether you are currently training AMOK!, learning via Tom's "Xtreme Combatives" Videos, or just looking to find out what AMOK! is all about, this is a great opportunity to really advance your understanding of the fight and how to win.

COST: $250 for two-days of superb instruction.

A facebook or meetup.com RSVP alone will not hold your seat. Don't hesitate, use this link to sign up today: http://www.combativestraininggroup.com/ ... v2013.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We have one attendee that won't be able to attend at the last minute and he has graciously offered to pay his seat forward to any active duty military or full time LEO who wants to attend both days. First email to steve@combativestraininggroup.com gets it.

Training with Tom Sotis is always an outstanding experience and Saturday was no exception:
Saturday: EDGED WEAPON COMBAT (EWC): EWC is an overview of the AMOK! Knifefighting System, an edged weapons obstacle course that raises and expands your level of experience and functionality each time you cycle through it. People retake this course time and again because they actually get more out of it each time, and all subsequent courses are focused explorations within it.
However, Sunday went above and beyond Tom's usual excellence -- Sunday's training offered not only many immediate learnings, but also provided a principle based, explicit structure for generative improvement, i.e., the information to train ourselves (and help our partners learn.)
Sun: COMBATIVE ANATOMY/BREAKING STRUCTURE/TAKEDOWNS: Presenting the complexities of takedowns in a clear and concise manner, Tom will present his method of taking down attackers.
Highly recommended if Tom is in your area or you can get to his seminars.
