OLight T20 Q5 Tactical Flashlight Review

Post by Keith B »

I just ordered one of these lights after trying out one my buddy had purchased. This light is amazing for the price (just under $60.) The 5 levels of illumination are perfect and go from fairly dim (7 lumen's) to extremely bright (220 lumen's) with just a twist of the head. The strobe function is very fast and will definitely disorient an aggressor (but maybe you also! ). SOS mode is pretty worthless, but hey, who knows Morse code these days?? ;-)

The flashlight has a memory so it returns you to the last setting without having to cycle through the modes, and the tail cap is easy to click. The size is very similar to a AA Mag-Light.

The beam pattern is extremely well defined with no halo like some of the cheaper lights. This is apparently due to a specially designed reflector. Color also is not too blue and is more natural.

Here is a review on the T20 Q5 model http://www.light-reviews.com/olight_t20/review.html, and you can compare models here http://www.light-reviews.com/compare.html

The Olight website is here http://www.olightworld.com/proi/cn/prod ... ductid=431

Bought it from here http://www.batteryjunction.com/speciale ... t-t20.html , and added the charger and 4 Li-Ion batteries http://www.batteryjunction.com/4parc390reli.html. With shipping, just under $100.

Can't wait to replace my older P6 clone with this one.

Thanks for the review and the flashlight sites... I have been looking for a new one since my last one decided to close down.
