Having a CHL badge would remove all doubt that you were a nerd.

Re: CHL BADGE
Easy Jim.
Why a badge? If you wore it in plain sight, everyone would know you were armed, defeating the "concealed" part of CHL. You just as well open carry.
My $0.02 worth.

Re: CHL BADGE
I have two that I carry. I cut a hole in one and welded it to the front of the slide of my Blart 1911A1 Tactical weapon system with pistol bayonet so any scum criminal will know I am ready for action. I put the other on a chain around my neck so it will not hinder my ability to use my weapon with both hands. I suggest http://www.MallSecurityofAmerica" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as they have the super best prices and best quality CHL badges.

The benefit is that it is a good clear target on your chest that screams "Shoot me first" if something goes down...

Re: CHL BADGE
NORMAN, these threads contain the most discussion on the topic of CHL badges. Most do consider a joke and ill advised.

Now that I think about it and reflect on a few of the "Batman" posts we've seen on this forum, perhaps selective issue of a CHL Badge, with a flashing blue light, might not be a bad idea.wheelgun1958 wrote:Stupid, stupid, stupid idea that gets bantered about here on occasion.

Re: CHL BADGE
My take on CHL badges is this: In what instance to you envision yourself using one? After a defensive shooting, when the cops show up? I think you'd be far better off with your open hands away from your body and your weapon placed on the ground in clear view.
Or perhaps you'd flash one if someone caught a glimpse of your weapon when the wind blew up your shirt? I could see that going badly, for example getting prosecuted for impersonating an officer of the law.
I wouldn't use one, personally. But of course, my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
Stick around, there is some valuable information on this site if you can get through some of the

Nothing wrong with a CHL badge as an ornament or conversation piece or even like a challenge coin.NORMAN wrote:Ok guys, What is everyones take on a CHL Badge ?? What would be the advantage of having one ??

Re: CHL BADGE
ah, can't start the new year without a post related to CHL badges.
on the other hand, I wouldn't mind having one as a gag gift, but over sized and on a plaque. Just as a conversation piece in my house.
