I ordered a Comfort Carry Holster from Durham Concealed Technology for my Ruger SR9c on September 9th, 2010. After doing a lot of research here and on other forums, I decided to go with them over a Crossbreed or Comp-TAC. Price was a big factor, it was $59.99 and included shipping. I read great reports about the craftsmanship and durability of these holsters.

The online ordering went very smoothly. A few minutes after the order, I got an email from Rob asking if I needed right hand or left hand. I thought I had specified right hand during the ordering process, so was a little confused, but replied right hand. I went back and looked at the website are realized that you have to click a separate add to cart button for the hand selection. Not a big deal at all, just thought I would mention that I missed it.
I got notification that it was shipping on September 24th. The holster arrived at my door on September 29th, but no one was home to sign for it. So I picked it up from the Post Office on the 30th.
Now, I am calling this a mini-review - because I am very new to concealed carrying. But, I was very impressed with the craftsmanship. He uses standard comp-tac clips. There are three holes on each side to allow further adjustments.
The retention was very good when I test in my hands. When I put the holster on, I found out that the retention was TOO good. I couldn't get the gun out of the holster. I wasn't sure if it would wear in or if I would need to send it back. I also chambered a round and quickly learned that he did not include a channel for the LCI (loaded chamber indicator).
So I called him later that morning. He apologized and offered to send my a new kydex shell. I expressed a willingness to try to modify it myself, so he gave me some pointers and told me if I messed it up, to let him know and he would ship out another shell right away. On the retention, he asked "Are you kinda skinny?" He explained that the increased curve causes the kydex to really clamp He also told me how to adjust the trigger guard detail to lessen the retention. down on the gun.
So, I will spare the details, but I added the LCI channel and worked the trigger area. I over heated the kydex a little in some spots, but buffed the shininess out a scotch-bright pad. The retention is now very nice when it is on my hip.
I am still working to find the right positions for the clips. Overall and I very pleased, but again don't have enough experience with holsters in general or especially with Comp-tac style tuckable holsters to give an informed opinion.
I will post pictures in a sec - let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the review. I have had my eye on that one trying to decide if I wanted to try one. It looks like a quality product and the customer service sounds equally good

Re: Durham Concealed - Comfort Carry - mini review
I had the same issue with the Comfort Carry I ordered for my SR9c - the forgotten channel for the LCI. I emailed him and he made a similar offer for me. Hopefully this weekend i will finally have time to try to heat & shape the Kydex so I can start wearing this good-looking holster.
