Thanks for the feedback. I've seen the hickok videos on the SR1911s which is one thing that got me interested. At $619 from Tombstone Tactical, the SR1911 CMD is tough to beat for price and reported quality.

Received my 10 rds extended mags from Tripp Research today and so far i am happy with them.... with my Tagua OWB holster with a full cant to it, the extra length does not show any more printing than before... and the few extra ounces in weight is negligible.. over the weeks will try them with different holsters....

using my Uplula loader can load the first 9 rds no problem, 10th rd is a little rough....

cycle through two mags and fed fine, no jams. Real test will be on the range.. which means i will probably go through 100 rds a whole faster than before :biggrinjester:

all in all quite happy with them...

yeah the uplula mag loader works pretty good but I also ordered the 1911 insert for mine and it justs snaps and has a tighter fit for the 1911 mags

I ended up going with the M&P 45 full size but I have the sneaking suspicion I'll be acquiring a commander SR1911 before I move next year.

you wont be disappointed and from what I hear Ruger has good customer service but so far I have never needed it for my SR1911 or my SP101 357 mag

as expected... went through 100 rds real quick with the 10 rd mags.... cant say they help improved my accuracy.... did have to modify my grip with the extra length.... definitely a good investment
