What I have done is wrap the gun in plastic from the dry cleaner bag and put the gun in the holster overnight.
It has always worked for me. :thumbs2:

:iagree:

That was also the advice given in the info when I received my DeSantis, Gun still well retained, but will slide out when I need it.

Thanks folks. Right now I have the gun wrapped in wax paper in the holster. Worked before, but looking for the best way, if there is something better.

I used the bag that my Triple T came in. Let it set for a few hours and it was good to go. Once the holster "lets go" of your gun when you attempt to pull it, it's ready.

Loading up some dummy/training rounds (aka, snap caps) and practicing drawing will also help loosen it up.

Ziplock bags work as well.

I like the dry cleaner bags best because they are very thin and conform to the outline of the gun.
If ziplock bags work, that's great too.

Everything said above. Unload the pistol, wrap in zip lock freezer baggie, or a sock and stick it back into the holster for a few days.

Good Luck.

I've always used a cotton sock. Let it sit 24 hours and am good to go. Seems a bit heavier than plastic wrap, but it's never over done it.

I like the wax paper trick. Works for me. For those who don't know, wrap the gun in wax paper with the wax side out and do it double layer. Insert the gun into the holster several times and then let sit overnight ( or longer if you wish ). Seems to do a good job.

Wear it around the house for a few weeks with the gun in it. Drawing and re-holstering it occasionally (maybe good to keep the gun unloaded) A bit slower than the other methods, but worth the wait, if it is a good leather holster. A cheap leather holster will soon overstretch however you break it in.
