Well, I decided finally on getting a P320 Compact in 9mm. Mine is FDE with night sights. We picked it up yesterday and I went to the range - and shot it right out of the box. We were using cheap Monarch (Barnaul) 9mm 115 FMJ steel cased. It functioned flawlessly through the 75 or so rounds I shot through it. It is accurate - I shot your standard DPS paper target at 3, 7, and 15 yds and shot a 250 score. I also shot some steel reactive targets and the gun did awesome.
Upon taking the gun apart and cleaning it (already familiar with it because ) The gun was easy to clean and lubing it was very easy - overall the gun is a very good value. I liked it so much that my M&P45 is likely to become a safe queen or truck gun.

You sound like me! My Glock 19 has become my fiancés gun because I got a sig p226 and started carrying it daily. While I love Glock and would trust one 100% to safe my life and be reliable so will my sig. the bad thing is now like me the sig bug has bitten you

Re: Sig P320 Compact first impressions
I'm a big 320 fan.
FYI: If you want to go to 17 rds with your Compact, you can either spend $40 and get a Carry 'grip module' for it, or buy 17rd mags and get the X-Grip Compact magazine sleeves for them.
Here's a photo spread I put together recently for a P320 info page:
Compact on left. Compact with 17rd mag & Xgrip sleeve in the middle. On the right, a Carry. Compact and Carry use the same exact slide.
Edit: And if you want to go to 21rds. You can do it with a Compact, put the Xgrip sleeve down over the 21rd Extended Mag. Doesn't look as clean as the 21rd does in the Carry or the Full, but it's functional. No wobble.

I was expecting to read a review of a P230, too; not to be confused with a P232Oldgringo wrote:Some say 230, some say 320...... :headscatch

Re: Sig P230 Compact first impressions
I assumed a typo in the subject line as a 'Compact' P230/232 is a bit redundant

the 320 is the striker fired gun with exchangeable plastic body/grip modules.
