"Multiple people were shot on Wednesday inside a Walmart in a Denver suburb, local police said.

Police in Thornton, Colorado, did not release any information on the number of victims and it was not clear if an assailant had been taken into
custody, taken his own life or been slain by officers.

"We've got multiple parties down, we're still trying to ascertain what their conditions are," Officer Victor Avila of the Thornton Police Department
told Reuters."

Seems like a media blackout on this one.. No ones talking Colorado PD saying nothing, Media silent. Maybe these things are so commonplace these days that it's not news anymore.

We live in a pretty safe area, every time I head out just to the corner store I pause for half a second thinking should I go through the trouble and things like this keep happening... I'm no longer pausing... Just consider my firearm a part of my keys, wallet, phone.... standard load out...

I hate to think that innocent people got killed standing in the checkout line at Walmart. But it happened. I hate to think that me or one of my family could have been there and could have been the first one shot. But it could happen. Events like this one make me examine my SA in every situation.

I have been a season ticket holder for the Dallas Mavericks for 12 years. This year they started showing an emergency exit video before the game. When we left the game I noticed a guy with a K9. However, the dog did not seem to be for crowd protection. I found out that it was a contractor performing explosive searches. So, the wife and I came up with our own emergency plan, just in case we get separated in an incident. Whether it's Walmart, Sams or Nordstrom things can happen quickly. Nothing surprises me anymore. Welcome to the new normal...
