There was an old story I saw some time back about a big warehouse near Downtown Houston. The owner was into bench rest shooting and he had several hundred yards of indoor space to shoot with no wind. I think even at night, they had to be careful as cops might come by about the noise. I think it was just something he occasionally did by himself or with a small number of invited guests but it not legal. If memory serves, it was back in the 80's.

Maybe contact a lawyer to help you navigate/investigate any possible legal loopholes/hurdles you need to overcome or if its even possible to do legally?

Ready range is pretty sweet... but looks super expensive!

I'm not in Houston, but my small town doesn't allow >300 fps within 1000 yds of a residence.
Which is pretty lame, because even a Red Ryder BB gun potentially exceeds that @ 350 fps.

One article I read about this Ready Range stated Base price is $132,000 and they went up quickly from there...

And the Main showcase video for their 40ft'er had two Super cars and two expensive motorcycles as part of the shoot..
Im thinking these ready ranges are for those that drop $200k on a long weekend in Spain on a whim,
not folks that take a second mortgage to due home upgrades.

Don't forget the short-skirted supermodel. I agree, these aren't intended for the regular Joe wanting a place to shoot. They are for the insecure wealthy dude looking to show off how much money he has and is willing to waste.

Well, if you want to keep the garage, you could buy a mobile range that you park in your driveway. That way you could take it to work for a lunch shoot too.
