invest in a belt!!!

invest in a belt!!!
For those of you on the fence about whether or not an actual gun belt is necessary... it is. I have dodged buying a gun belt for the entire time (2 years) I have been carrying. This weekend I found a nice thick leather gun belt, and pulled the trigger. I immediately swapped my holster and mag carrier over, to find that this belt made carrying exponentially more comfortable.I won't namedrop brands but, invest in a good holster and a good belt, I promise you won't regret it.

Does it have the metal band insert or is it just thick leather?

I can't agree with this enough. I tried a normal leather belt for awhile, then spent around $100 (iirc) on a good reinforced leather gunbelt. Night and day difference.

Kore Essentials
I had good success with my Walmart special, with suspenders. Wore that rig for 3 years. When I got my S&W M&P, I bought my first real gun belt. Carries my M&P Mod 2.0 9mm 5inch, two spare mags, comfortably all day. Not a super stiff belt. Wears well at work, church, or on the range. $60.
Liked it so much, I have two; black and brown.
Very popular. The black belts are sold out but you can pre-order, brown is available, the web belts are should be available by mid December. I'll order a web belt then.

This one is just really thick, probably between 1/4 and 3/8 inch. But it doesn’t roll over like traditional belts.Tex1961 wrote:Does it have the metal band insert or is it just thick leather?

Cool - but please consider a holster. The buttocks you save could be your own!WTR wrote: Even Mexican carry at 6 O'clock is secure now.

A good belt makes a world of difference. I'm a fan of Tucker Gun Leather.

I use Kore Essentials also. The track system, instead of holes, is fantastic. I even have a couple of their "fashion" belts.

A good gun belt makes all the difference. I’ve become a big fan of Armour Belts, they put my Beltman belts to shame.

Re: invest in a belt!!!
I have had my belt since 95, wide enough it barely fits thru the belt loops on my jeans, but it easily supports my P14, mag pouch and a knife, the belt could double as a saddle cinch!

Re: invest in a belt!!!
I use a big foot gun belt with steel insert. The most stable strong belt I’ve ever used and it holds a gun and my pants up with zero struggle. And looks very nice and professional.

Another vote for Beltman, I have two, one brown and one black.
The belt and the holster is a “system” , you need both, makes all the difference in the world.
