I'm a Glock fan, and was depressed that anyone would spend that much money on a pistol like that.

No, you are not the only one. I am quite sure of that. Then again, there are those who would not feel safe with a Glock on their person either.LeonCarr wrote:Glock 17
I might be the only person on this forum who will not trust his life to a 1911 (Flame Suit On) . I have had way too many reliability issues with them over the years.

Better than a Glock or 1911.

I'm curious. I prefer drop safe guns. For that reason I like the Schwartz safety. It blocks the firing pin without involving the trigger. The Series 80 is icky, I agree there.flechero wrote:Many Colt/Kimber fans consider the other to be a waste of money. I'm more in the camp that likes either, when they are well build and run. (which isn't always the case, with either) And I'm not a fan of the series 80 or the Schwartz safeties.
I don't get out enough. I didn't know anyone put an external extractor on a 1911. Mine (Colt and Kimber) are both internal extractors.AndyC wrote:Their first series was pretty good - then they decided to go with an external extractor design (Series II) which doesn't work reliably and worse, started cutting corners and spending money on full-page flashy ads, etc.
Take a look at Sig 1911s: https://www.sigsauer.com/products/firea ... ls/1911-1/treadlightly wrote:I don't get out enough. I didn't know anyone put an external extractor on a 1911. Mine (Colt and Kimber) are both internal extractors.
