Baliaong/butterfly knives legality

#1

Post by mreavis »

Long time reader and chl holder. I also read legislation about firearms and knives regularly. However, I would highly appreciate input for clarification.

Since the new illegal knife law changes in 2013 is it now legal to carry a balisong/butterfly concealed in public? Is it legal to carry a double edged knife concealed in public?

I understand blade length restrictions and most of the legislation but am not sure if a balisong knife is considered a switchblade or gravity knife. Also I am not sure about knives with double sided blades.

I really try not to ask questions I know you guys have heard hundreds of times but I was unable to find the answer searching the forum. Any input is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance and stay safe out there.
