Went to my range today shooting my Colt 9mm I put up a shoot-n-see target and decided to do double taps with 9 rounds (yes I know the last shot is not a double tap  ) I have never done this before to this level of accuracy, granted it was only a 7 yards but I still was super happy with the 2x taps. I also was shooting at 25 yards to trying the Colt out long distance.(2nd picture) I just love this Colt :txflag:

  • Rifle: Remington 700 VSF (26” heavy profile fluted barrel w/ target crown, HS Precision varmint profile synthetic stock, Timney trigger set to 2.25 lbs)
  • Caliber: .308 Winchester
  • Scope: SWFA 5-20x50mm SSHD FFP
  • Handload: 175 grain Sierra Matchking over 44 grains of Varget, in new unfired Remington brass, with CCI large rifle primers
  • Fired from a rifle bench
  • Distance to Target: 100 yards
  • Group Size: 4 rounds, 3/8” center to center
With that same combination, I’ve hit 4.25” clay pigeons on the 800 yard berm at ETTS.

Does that qualify?

Quick trip to the range to zero the temporary optic on my new PDW a few weeks ago. This was at 50yds, while tired and hungry, in the rain, just resting the pistol on the mag, with a red dot... is that enough excuses? :biggrinjester:

(hopefully these pics work)

This is the pistol in question, 300BLK with a 5" barrel. I'm happy with the results, I should have an effective range of about 250yds which is exactly what I was going for.

I don't have pictures of it but we drilled holes in a 2x4, inserted golf tees in the holes and shot paintballs off the tees with a 17hmr at 50 yards. It was a fun game but we needed a longer range, 50 with a scope was a little too easy.

Nice!

I went yesterday and shot a variety of handguns but didn't save my targets. I need more dry firing practice. :???:

Good day at the range late today, sent some 380, 9mm and 45 acp downrange, then moved to the rifle range.
New Savage 10T SR in 308, sent a total of 20 rds down range ( first 20 ever in this rifle ) off sand bags on a bench.
Right out of box, only ran a bore snake thru the barrel with some Ballistol on it prior to shoot.
Here are the last four rds.
Federal 308 Gold Match 168 gr SMK HPBT, at 100 yds with a Nikon M-308 scope mounted.
Wanted to get into something besides pistols and AR’s but did want to spend a fortune.
I’m pretty happy with the results.
