How NOT To Change a Tire

#1

Post by WildBill »

I heard on the radio this morning that a man in Washington state tried to use a 12 gauge shotgun to loosen a stuck lug nut on his car. He ended up in the hospital.

A gun is just a tool, but the wrong tool to loosen rusty bolts.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I've done some pretty stupid crap...and come up with some pretty stupid ideas. However, I cant think up even the TINIEST bit of logic that could of gone into that plan. How would a shotgun even do ANYTHING to loosen the bolt? I mean..maybe if he took a hammer and whacked it out of frustration I could kind of understand it...but blasting it with buckshot? wow...just wow.

Like George Carlin said, natural selection left alone will eventually weed out those who are likely to cause a decline in the intelligence of the gene pool. I am certainly not wishing an early demise on this poor soul, but our government-paid public safety resources obviously interfered with George's theory. Good thing for him (and bad for the gene pool) that this didn't happen a hundred years ago.

Darwin Award nominee for sure. Also, watch Idiocracy if you haven't already...you'll see what we might be in for.

The scary thing about Idiocracy is you see it happening. Stupid people are outbreeding smart people at a geometric rate. I see it every day in front of my office. 1 or 2 women walking with a dozen kids in the street. There is a sidewalk 5 feet away yet they are constantly dodging getting run over.
