TAKE OFF THOSE SHOES OR I'LL SHOOT!

#1

Post by seamusTX »

Beaumont, March 25: A woman homeowner asked furniture deliverymen to remove their shoes before entering the house. They refused, saying it was against company policy, and pointed out that they had protective coverings on their shoes.

"An argument ensued," ending when the homeowner produced a handgun.

No telling whether the homeowner had religious or cultural reasons or was just real picky about her carpets.

There are two sides to every story. We have the delivery men's side. I'll wait for the homeowners side before developing an opinion.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

It is her house so it is her right if she doesn't want people to enter her house with shoes. But as delivery people if they don't want take their shoes off then they leave the stuff on the porch.

If I was a furniture mover, I'd wear steel-toed boots. I'd only take them off at gun point too. Sure she has a right to ask people to remove their shoes. I'd refuse, and take the furniture back where it came from.
