I can't tell you how much this disgust me.
The video hit YouTube on 9-18-11 and is already under investigation.
I don't ever want to see anyone lose their job but after this little stunt I don't really see any other option.

That is a fantastic way to get somebody killed. I'm all for pranks, but I learned long ago to stick to ones that have less lethal potential outcomes.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Sorry, "pranks" like this deserve to be punished to the maximum. What if an LEO had walked in and seeing what was going on shot the"BG?"

Good point, we regularly have cops stop by to use the restroom. This could have gone down hill so fast.

WHAT THE

WoW...

How is THAT any type of prank?!? The worst we did to the rookies was tape them to a backboard and lie them in the Apparatus bay under the outlet for the tender and douse them or freeze their keys in the middle of 5 gallon bucket...

This guy is lucky no one was a little more courageous and grabbed a knife from the kitchen and hacked him to ribbons!

I have had a rolled down boot filled with AFF, and have convinced a rookie that he could quickly walk through a stream being projected from a nozzle connected directly to an output 2.5" gate. He went about 10 feet out into the pond and the bruises were pretty bad. I never even thought he would do that.

I think this is one of the most stupid things I've ever seen. What the heck were these people thinking????? Like someone else said, what if one of the rookies decided to be brave and take action against the BG with a knife or some other weapon? Things could have gone down hill in a hurry! This was a VERY bad idea. That a Captain, as well as a Sargent were involved, and would allow this to take place, shows a high degree of immaturity. If I were their supervisor, they would be down the road!

Pulling a weapon on anyone when not justified is ground for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon whether joking or otherwise.
Someone should go to jail for that or at least lose his job.
