I don't see them when he takes off his jacket. Maybe his waist is smaller than his hips.

 Depends on whether the director of the movie is being true to fashion or taking liberties, like they so often do with firearms. Actually, the most recent incarnation, Daniel Craig, is allowed to do a better job of dressing than were some of the previous Bonds (although, traditionally, suspenders were considered to be underwear and not to be displayed in public; Craig should not have taken off his jacket):

In Britain, they call them "braces," not "suspenders." And under a dinner jacket they're more often likely to be white silk than not. With tailored pants that button-up nice and snug, you don't have to wear suspenders under a cummerbund or waistcoat beneath a single-breasted dinner jacket, but a belt is never worn; slacks for formal wear don't have belt loops.

Sometimes there's a fine line between GQ and QCB.

Last time I wore suspenders all the girls thought I looked like Agent 007 James Bond and girls flocked all around me .... wait no that was a long time ago ...
last time I wore suspenders I was wearing waders to fish and the fish flocked all around me ...

Yeah, that's it.
Wader suspenders.
