I live out in the woods, if you come up my driveway you better have a reason, and an appointment. Even with that not after dark.

Last year I make the mistake of talking to a guy who was selling a lawn care service. His big selling point was "no contracts." I asked him the price of the service and he said that was so much per month for the first two months, and then a higher price according to a one year or two year "service agreement".

I asked him what the difference was between a contract and service agreement. He just knew that they were different, but couldn't explain why. Like a dummy I had given him my phone number. He called back several times until I told him DO NOT EVER CALL ME AGAIN! :banghead:

He seemed like a nice guy and I felt sorry for him that was the best job he could get.

In 10 years living in this house, the only people who have come to my door are politicians (sadly, they are not listed as game animals), neighbors and trick-or-treaters. Oh yeah, and some relatives ... I've found that if you keep quiet and don't answer the door, the relatives will go away ... but I always have my trusty NAA Pug in my pocket, just in case ...
