Glad it wasn't me!

Post by Songbird »

The husband and I made our usual Saturday search for ammo today. He's been carrying his Sig P250 in his inside coat pocket (with no holster :banghead: ). When we got out of the pickup he took his coat off so I asked him about his gun. He told me he was carrying my Colt 380 and pointed to his left side and "adjusted" the gun (in a cheap nylon holster). Somehow the clip unseated itself from his belt and the gun/holster hit the ground just before we walked in the door. One guy laughed and said "That's ok. Mine did that last week." The other man that saw it was quite alarmed and said "Good thing it didn't go off!"

I suggest you give up on ammo for the time being and buy yourself good quality holsters for all the pistols you are likely to carry. :tiphat:

I have a good rig for both my guns. He's left handed so my stuff doesn't work for him. I'd love to see my husband in a good one. He's pretty much got a mind of his own though. Maybe today's event will change his thinking.

If he still has a mind of his own y'all must be newlywed.

Maybe a good holster as an anniversary present?

That's coming up in March! I've been trying to talk him into spending the $$ for a rig from Hopp Custom Leather for his PPQ. I think maybe he's convinced now!

cheap nylon holsters are great for 1 thing ... donating to Students for concealed campus carry to use on empty holster day ...

I'd hesitate to actually put a gun in one, and especially not a loaded one

This month makes 23 for me. On the rare occasion I convince her I'm right about something she gets mad because she says I act like I just won the lotto.
