TexasCHLforum.com Bulk Bullet Order(s) from Precision Delta

Postby Charles L. Cotton » Wed Feb 25, 2009 5:35 pm

The very nice folks at Precision Delta have agreed to a unique procedure for making a bulk order of bullets for members of TexasCHLforum.com. I'll give the exact dates shortly, but this is now it is going to work.

For a period of ten days, people can order bullets from the Precision Delta website or on the phone. During that time, if all of our orders combined reach the 10,000 rd threshold, then we all get the $4 per 1,000 discount. Reaching 10,000 rds won't be a problem! After the cut-off date, prices will go back to normal. We will then repeat the bulk order on a regular basis. If the demand is there, I'll set it up on a monthly basis. Please note: You must let Precision Delta know that you are ordering as part of the TexasCHLforum.com bulk purchase to get the discount! I should know by tomorrow how to do this, if we are ordering on the Internet, as opposed to a telephone order.

This is very nice of Precision to do this for our group and I hope everyone let's Lisa know we really appreciate it. The great thing about this procedure is that we don't have to have one person collect all of the money, place the order, then try to get the bullets out the people who ordered them. Everyone will pay by credit card either on-line or over the phone and the bullets will be shipped directly to the purchaser. You can mix bullets, but all orders must be in multiples of 2,000 rds.

Here is the Precision Delta website: http://www.precisiondelta.com/index1.htm

Here is an update on the ordering procedure.

When you order on the Internet, you will see a comment box. Be sure to put a note in that section that you are ordering as part of the TexasCHLforum bulk purchase. Otherwise, you won't get the bulk purchase discount.

Here is the backorder status:

9mm: 6 - 8 week delivery
40 S&W: 6-8 week delivery
38 Special: No backorder
38 Super: No backorder
45 ACP: No backorder

I' ll post the beginning and ending dates by tomorrow at the latest.

I want to make sure we get to the 10,000 rds level so everyone gets the $4/1000 discount. We get a $2/1000 discount at 6,000 rds, but we should be able to hit 10,000 with no problem. Please note that you must order in 2,000 rd increments, but you can mix bullets.

I probably don't have to say this for our long term members, but I want to let the new members know that I have no ownership interest in Precision Delta, nor to I make anything on the sales. I'm just trying to help fellow shooters save some money on reloading components.

I need to see if we are going to have enough interest in this bulk purchase to make this work. Please post here if you are going to buy bullets and give us an idea how many. As soon as it looks like we'll hit the 10,000 rd. mark, I'll get the dates for our program.

I'll be buying 4,000 rds.

Just called Precision, and they moved the order I made a couple of days ago to the forum's bulk order. Nice folks!

I ordered 2000.

Now that's mighty nice of them to credit us with an order they already have. They are some very nice people!

Do you know if they charge you now for the order or when it ships?

I have never ordered from them before.

Thanks!

I've ordered from them several times, and they are very easy to work with.

When I placed a large order of 9mm's a while ago they did not charge me until they shipped.

I'm in for at least 4k.

The dates for this first TexasCHLforum bulk order are March 2-13. Place your order during that time and be sure to enter "TexasCHLforum bulk order" in the comments section of the Internet order page, or tell them if you order by phone to get the $4/1000 discount. It would also be a nice touch to thank them for doing this for us.

Will these be manufactured ammunition or components?

Either way, I'm probably not going to be able to participate ($$ shortage) unless I get some friends to go with me as a sub-order.

Q
Texas CHL received 07/24/09 and being used daily.

I could use some .45ACP bullets, but I was really hoping to get my .45ACP and .44Mag at the same time. They don't have a super secret .44Mag page, do they?
