Best I have been able to tell so far is that he used the Dillon's for all his pistol calibers and the single stage for .308. That was simply by matching up the manufacturer of the dies. However I read later that a lot of those dies are interchangeable.

just about all modern dies are based on the standard threads (7/8"-14 IIRC). I tend to use one of two progressives for most pistol rounds, but for my 44 mag and rifle rounds I tend to use my single stage press. That dillon machine should have interchangeable tool heads that will allow you to set your dies and then swap tool heads (as well as primer setups and shellplate) to change calibers.

Reloading tools are like hand tools, you can never have enough....They just cost more..!!!

I have several single stage presses I have collected over the years that get setup for a use and usually never changed.
Like for special jobs.
Pretty soon I'll have one of them set up for making gas checks........can't wait for that one :thumbs2:

Yep, looks like he ordered extra tool heads as well but hadn't set up the dies for all of them.
